It is perhaps not an insult for a man to be told he is hung like a donkey. I seem to recollect a Premier League footballer in the 90s taking immense pride in “tell it like it is” revelations by an often photographed TV personality more used to having her clothes off than on. However when a man is accused of having sex with a horse we are entering territory which is unnervingly Kafkaesque rather than Jilly Cooper. This report does not specify the actual legislation which precludes having sex with an equine although one can speculate. Was this sex with an under age horse? Was this sex consensual? Was this a mare or a stallion? And finally who put him up to it?
