ACPOThere is rarely a week goes by without the Association of Chief Police Officers being in the news whether it is its findings, its opinions, its recommendations or its spendthrift habits. I last posted on this private company 21/05/2011. The organisation itself is another uniquely British institution funded mainly by government but operating at elbow’s length from it rather like Victim Support or many other similar such groupings. It is therefore of interest when an illuminating article is published shining a light on what some might call dubious practices of jobs for the boys funded by the tax payer. Such a piece was in the Yorkshire Post yesterday.
