SLEEPING JURORSI`ve moaned and groaned a few times on the fact that there are virtually no filters to prevent almost anybody sitting on a jury……no requirement for a minimum understanding of the English language, no requirement to demonstrate an ability to comprehend sometimes convoluted argument, no requirement to fully appreciate the significance of the duty etc etc.

It appears that for one Michelle Rogers a juror at Leeds Crown Court a sex trial was too boring for her to continue to undertake the trips to court so she didn`t turn up. I am aware that courts have been considered akin to theatres and their participants to the players but just what sort of performance did this woman expect………….Swingin` in the Rain, Illegally Blonde, The Ladykillers, Thriller, Midnight Tango, Warwhores or perhaps Verdi`s Viagra?
